Macrobiotics

Macrobiotics is a diet based on whole grains, organic vegetables and tofu. The idea is to try to minimize and avoid foods that can be hazardous to your health, e.g., highly processed or refined foods and most animal products. It also addresses the manner of eating by recommending against overeating and requiring that food be chewed thoroughly before swallowing.

Based on Chinese philosophy of yin and yang, macrobiotics is a way of life centered on the idea of living in harmony with nature and your body.
